Our Mission
Waveland Community Development, a national Community Development Entity, empowers low-income communities by creating vibrant manufacturing economies that generate career opportunities for a lower-skilled workforce. Formed in 2006 Waveland offers flexible, equity-equivalent debt products to spur economic revitalization utilizing the Federal New Markets Tax Credit program.
Our Team
Our team of experienced professionals has deployed NMTC awards totaling $651.5MM that have resulted in nearly $2BN in total financing to businesses in low and moderate income rural communities across the United States.
The Waveland executive team members have decades of experience in private equity; public equity; commercial real estate finance; commercial real estate development and community development finance.
Our Approach
At Waveland Community Development, we work closely with a variety of NMTC industry partners and directly with targeted investment companies to best structure transactions that will lead to job creation and lasting community impact. Working across the United States, Waveland has transacted from Alaska to New York and from Texas to Wisconsin.
